A Prayer for Israel

Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.     Psalm 140:1-4

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.     1 Thess 5:1-3

And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.     Rev 10:5-7

Daily Bible Reading Schedule

This is one of my daily Bible reading schedules (I have two that I follow every day of every year). In the course of a year it covers all 260 chapters of the New Testament and all 50 chapters of Genesis, as well as the Exodus story through to Joshua. It is oriented in such a way that the birth of Jesus (Luke 2) always falls on Christmas Day. The New Testament begins on November 10th and is an excellent starting point.
